How has your life changed from the time you began posting on musikchan until this moment?

 No.4861

It hardly has, and I've been on here since 2012. Kind of pathetic, really. I never got my shit together. But I'm making some sorts of progress, and maybe I'm getting closer.

A while back I was drinking a drink from Taiwan and I thought it was so delicious. I didnt realize til later that it was root beer. Up until that point I had always hated root beer, but after this I changed my mind. I decided to go out and try every root beer I could find. In this thread I will post pictures and comments about them. Feel free to join in.

Boylans Root Beer - too mild for me. It wasn't gross but I didn't really enjoy it. I'd rank this only slightly above the generic root beers.

So, I guess it is time to get into the more exotic root beers.

Hey Song Sarsaparill with Salt - In Taiwan it is believed that Sarsaparilla with salt in it is a remedy for colds and dehydration. When I found out that this existed, I knew that the next time I went to Taiwan that I had to try it. On the very first day of my most recent trip to Taiwan I found this in a Family Mart (like a 7/11) and bought When cold it tastes very similar to regular Hey Song Sarsaparilla, but when it warms up a bit you can really taste the salt and it tastes like you are drinking seawater.

I gave Hey Song 4/10 so this would probably get a 2/10.

Remember, I do like Hey Song, but as its own drink. As a root beer it is a bit strange.

金车麦根沙士 - Literally "Golden Car Wheat Root Sarsaparilla." Out of all of the Taiwanese root beers, this one tasted the most like an American root beer. It was not super sweet like some the American root beers, but it had a nice mix of mint and vanilla and reminded me a bit of the Dr. Browns.

IBC Root Beer

Pretty good, however I noticed that it was bottled by Dr Pepper/7up and I couldn't help but notice the sinilarities better IBC and A&W. it was pretty well rounded and no one flavor stuck out, but because of that it didn't have any special quality.

6/10

Hmm, why did I turn this into a feel thread? I actually only quit my job for a little and then got it back, now I'm back in school. Anyway, I figured I'd dump some other funny or interesting pics of packages I saw during my time at UPS.

This package looked and felt pretty normal at first, until I looked into these vents and noticed there were a ton of bees in it crawling around. Pic doesn't do it justice though

This isn't a package… at least I don't think it is. It's just a totally unexplained phenomenon. It was around Christmas time and this thing of whatever this treat is came around in a bin on my boxline to where I was working. During my shift, I'm the only person working on my boxline, and I didn't put that there. It didn't have any labels that would suggest it was meant to be shipped anywhere. I also think I only saw it once that night, so whoever put it on must have taken it off right after it passed by me. I assume it was supposed to be up for grabs as a treat to celebrate the season, but still, very weird. I didn't have any as I didn't entirely know what was going on.

Hello all,

Since the end of last year, we have been planning a board software update as our previous software was becoming dated and barely supported. What you are looking at right now is the new software. It runs faster, has more features, and is all around coded better than our previous software.

What this means:
>we can now upload via URL, clipboard, or traditional file selection meaning you can post without having to save images.
>improved mobile support
>a post search function in the menu
>chan standard "click on an image to expand"
>optional flags

We are no longer allowing embedded videos as that slows the site down. We are looking into the possibility of "click to embed" style linking like 4chan has.

As with any new software, there may be bugs or features/improvements you would like to make. We encourage you to report bugs by posting them in this thread or by joining the discord and reporting them to the staff.

Post too long. Click here to view the full text.

clyp autoembed is now available sitewide. I wrote this function myself, so please tell me if you experience any issues with it.

[cabbage] is now allowing Caustic files to be uploaded and multiple image uploads.

If you are using Caustic, this will be a good place to share files to collab on.

I'm pledging for a fraternity right now, can't say which one, but it's pretty fun/stressful so far.

Ah, well it's never too late, but it's very true that the earlier the better.

 No.3134

I'm not in school, and when I was it was a liberal arts school with 700 kids, no frats, and basically no sports teams. Several of my best friends are in frats and are having really great experiences. In many cases, frats can be an awesome experience for people, a way to meet people and have a support group & group of bros. Having said that, it definitely varies from school to school, because I have friends who have had HORRIBLE experiences with frats. Some of these places are real fucked up, from the degrading super hazing to some frat parties basically being rape-buffets. I know a few girls who have been sexually assaulted at frat parties but again- there is a wiiiiiide range of frats. Yours sounds cool though OP, I'm definitely not shitting on frats in general. Hope you have a great time in yours man, live it up.

YOLO

 No.3137

OP here, I'm in an ethnic based fraternity, which unlike white frats, the majority of "hazing"/pledging is physical, not alcohol based.
Which means I get gains instead of alcohol poisoning.
Our rival frat is really bad though, forcing pledges to exercise for hours in an unlit room with loud techno music being played for hours....
Shit like that is dumb.

 No.4812

Two years later this shit is more lit than I ever would have thought.
